Dear mmMekitty~
Yes you can be good, especially when you are not trying (I hate to think what might happen when you are trying🙄
What have you got against hte sheepdog program? I thought it was pretty harmless, thogh I have watched a movie where a pig rang circles around htem.
I'm sure your cunning plan to flood them with penguins will work, and has the added bonus of gettng them off my iceberg

Hi Croix,
Whenever I am succeeding to be good, I'm sleeping. This doesn't mean you ought to get your hopes up too much, given how little sleep I get these days.
I've got nothing against the sheepdog programme. I only like to find new ways to stir things up, to make them more challenging to for the participants & more exciting & hilarious for the viewers. Just wait for the episode where I have the sheepdogs trying to herd a plethora of pesky penguins from the beach, around an island, & aboard a passing tourist ship.

Dear MK~
I can see what you mean about jazzing up the sheepdog show whoever it might depend on the size of the penguins, I'm sure an emperor could give a nasty peck.
When it comes to herding on a tourist vessel don't you think that might be better suited to the inebriated penguins, with all those duty free beverages to sample.?
I wish you a (very) long peaceful snooze:)

Dear MK and all~
Not that long a snooze!
The inebriated penguins have heard about the duty free ship and ask if they need a designated driver?

Hi Croix & everyone,
Yeah, snoozing whenever I can When I get feeling cold to freezing (even here in SEQld), getting out from under the covers is really hard to do. It doesn't mean I'm sleeping well, though, just I hate to shiver.
I have about 3 dozen inebriated kiwis who are clamoring to designate themselves 'drivers', & they have the longer beaks to prove it. Besides, pesky penguins fly better in water. Kiwis just get waterlogged & need to learn how to use those long beaks for snorkels, (a much better use than as swords), so they can get themselves onboard the ship or back to shore, whichever is closer.

Dear MK (with a wave to all)~
Is it you or the actual climate that is very cold? I'm told by banana benders their climate is marvelous one day and perfect the next, though I was in cooler climes on the Atherton Tableland looking at Charolais cattle.
It is really quite cold down here on the South Island (you folks are all on the North Island of course) with -5 last night, but much warmer today. When we go out we have to be back by mid evening so Foxy Dog does not get too cold. Funnily enough she too has an igloo, made of plastic material and foam, to go inside if she is cold.
Hope the shivers go away, in the meantime a flowerpot of catnip just out of reach from the bed?

Hi Croix,
I know it's not abnormally cold this winter. Maybe I am feeling it more, being a senior citizen, maybe. Arthritis, thinning hair, & other assorted ailments, including a side effect from the hormone blocker I still have to use for another year, which has given me osteopenia. I even got a new winter coat (dressing gown), which is long fuzzy & purple. I dunno, I'm just feeling as if I'm living inside a refrigerator. Thankfully, not a freezer like you, eh?
I still wonder if I'd feel the same if we actually had some snow to go with the cold temperatures.
Ah, maybe I just need a cozy wool-lined igloo on top of my mattress. Ah, yes, I think that's what's missing. I'll bring the potted catnip inside, for midnight snacking or digging....

The out of reach catnip was supposed to entice you out of bed. Trust you of thinking to bring it inside for a snack

Hi Croix,
When I wake at 2 or 3 in the morning, i don't want to behave as if it is really morning, do I? That would be just silly.
I had a thought about the arthritis I have in my tail bone - can you imagine, the inconvenience for cats like me? Maybe I could become a Manx & you can just call me 'Stumpy'. More importantly, I wonder why humans with arthritis in their tailbones can't have these things removed? What are they useful for anyway? We cats use them to assist with balance. I don't imagine human tailbones help with that to any more than imaginary benefit.
Although I was up a little late last night, I did manage to sleep almost 6 hours, with a break at 3:30am. I am very pleased if I get back to sleep after waking so early.
I haven't had any 40 winks today, but just resting while listening to an audio book seems to have livened me up at this getting late hour. So, here I am, looking for Sumo. Maybe Sumo & I can be friends & 'prowl' around together/, all around, inside & out, & over the top & underneath the Iceberg.
& I am surprised to note the emojis - just when I thought the Walrus would nver use them. [Purring happy cat]. If you like, I'm still happy to write them out for you. There are many more emojis to choose, when I write them out.
[LRC creeps under the Walrus's bed, looking for flipper slippers to play with]
[Bigger cat sniggers].

Dear MK (with a wave to all)~
I"m afraid you have me stumped. My knowledge of the human skeletal structure comes from the song "Dem Bones" which makes no mention of a tail bone at all. Perhaps humans started to grow them after the song was written🤔
For various reasons I awake in the middle of the night and again early morning, and I've not found a remedy that sends me straight back to sleep, if fact on many occasions after too vivid a nightmare I don't want to go back to sleep so I get up and have a hot chocolate drink and read for while.
I"m sure Sumo would like a feline companion however fitting you both with scuba gear to go under the iceberg might be problem, then you could explore the top and come in my nice warm igloo for a snack (I'm afraid the catnip 🌿 is only the imported variety, local grown does not seem to work😞
I"m afraid walruses don't have slippers, they have flippers instead 🥿
