Thanks

Hello Croix

I just noticed you mentioned the Spitfire

A few months ago a restored Spitfire flew over my house and that Rolls Royce Merlin V12 has a sound I will never forget. Its the first time I have seen/heard one fly over...and it was low...very low

I wonder who owns it.....It cant be cheap to maintain

Dear Paul

I guess you were lucky to see/hear one, as far as I know there are less than 40 still flying today world-wide. Considering the many thousands that were made that's not many.

Hi Croix and Paul...just touching base here...to let you know I have not disappeared in a puff of smoke!! I did post quite a heart-wrenching epistle on my own thread a couple of days ago but it is being moderated...quite a lot I imagine as it hasn't appeared....(was it something I said???)...LOL.

I must have gone too far this time...it was all honest, all real, straight from the heart stuff!! (I can be quite expressive on paper so they are probably doing the right thing...I did sound pretty desperate I admit as something had knocked me around pretty badly...but I am still here...and loving talking with you two guys so much.....thanks for putting up with me for so long.....cheers now...Moon S

Dear Moon~

As you normally are able to say anything you want in just the right way so as to be both acceptable as well as understandable I'm a little worried that the knock you are talking about was a pretty severe one. Severe enough so you became very direct.

Whatever it is not only are we both here - as are many others -for you but we also have faith you will cope and reach a better place. You have strength and humor, and that trumps most things (pardon the use of the trump word , it does preceded US politics)

As for putting up with you, it really is not a case of that at all. I for one enjoy talking with you , listening to your anecdotes about famous bowling identities and sprinkling quotes all around (plus of course your humility, fashion sense, choice of State and awesome bowling liabilities.)

In my case Quotation is a serviceable substitute for wit

You realize OW specifically mentioned you in a quote?

No I didn't realise that...but that would be nice if he did......

I was not previously aware you were an acquaintance of his, however he did say:

With freedom, books, flowers, and the Moon, who could not be happy?

Croix (who has given you a more serious answer in your other thread)

Hello a dear Mr Croix...

Ive been thinking of you the last few days..and wondering how you’re doing..

Also I’m overloaded with emojis, and thoughts I would come and bring you a nice hot cuppa ️ and a piece of cake 🍰 🍰..One of each for you and Mrs Croix.....

Why not take them outside and sit down in the sun and feel the gentle warmth sinking into your skin..Sounds great doesn’t it...peaceful and relaxing. Oh don’t forget to look at the beautiful white fluffy clouds floating across the sky, if you really look at them and the blueness of the sky together it’s amazing to see how infinitely high the sky is....

The highest clouds are no higher than 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) above ground, that’s not that high...The Sky is 100 kilometres high (62 miles)..until the boundary of space starts....

Just a bit of trivia...

Look after you dear Mr Croix.. and enjoy your cuppa and cake..

Love and hugs..💜💜🤗🤗..

Grandy..

Hi Mr Croixy I realise thoughts arent action so finally I've arrived in person which in itselfs pretty damned impressive 😄 to also ask how you are I've been concerned for a while about you.

Are you still walking along the river track with stroppy duck or ? Hey maybe that and angry cat should meet 😸 oh looky I found a stray emoji too 😆 or should I say two 😁

I know you do here volunteering and elsewhere over a wk Croixy I hope you get good time out for yourself and read a good book.

Won't be long and you can give us that cosy fireplace scene loved that.

Go easy good man ☺🤗 you're a hugger?

🎤 oh I bought the mike along thought I might sing for youse.. 🎧 supplied 😂 my gorgeous Grandy might join me.. in her words she sounds like an injured animal 🤣

Dear Grandy and DB~

What a nice surprise to have you both appear here. I follow each of your progress just about every day even if I do not say a lot.

Yes, I'm still walking along the river bank and being nagged by the native hen, who is convinced it is only due to his efforts we move off. Trying to take Naasy Cat along would be a bit of an operation, even picking her up requires heavy-duty gloves (plus band-aids🚑.

I'm good at them moment thanks. I've managed to put some-long standing problems in a box in my mind and have tried to stop opening it. Volunteering is something I've done since I was in the police and it is good for me, a change of pace and a bit of balance. It's easy to lose perspective if one relies on only one thing.

Now I'm afraid you are both bad influences, I'm supposed to be on a diet, having meal replacements every day and NO CAKE:( or anything else that sounds half way tasty. I'm aiming to fit on a smaller iceberg.

Now with the choir practice, you might well be able to find an emoji of an microphone, I'm having difficulty finding one that represents ear-plugs. The description of Grandy's singing does not have quite the appeal you might imagine.

That cosy fire-side chair is nearly with us now, I've bought the year's supply of firewood and will soon start needing it, some nights are chilly already.

Mrs Croix and I will however follow your advice and sit outside tomorrow if it is a fine day, look at the trees and sky. You are right, it does relax.

Hey Croixy and everyone 👋

Love it when you throw an emoji in. Your putty tat really freaks me out matey... that's right nasty cat well named.

I thought a hen but wrote whatever I wrote 😅 wow you attract some really friendly animals 😅 remind me never to go on walkabout with you 😉

Food holds so much pleasure especially sugar, reckon it should be classed as a drug. I too am strategizing and definately going to get this off again, so much happier. Best of luck. You can still have your 🍰 you just can't eat it 🤣 soz matey that just rolled out, here let's share 🎂. On a serious note it is ok to break cause in diet mode this is fact the body goes into starvation mode and draws in the fat, then a break it relaxes it not sure how the rest works and we need breaks. Tony's doing a weight thread soon.

Well done putting stuff in your box that takes serious mind control. I'm glad you're ok Croixy ☺ oh loved the iceberg comment very funny.

🤣... 🎶 In the jungle...the mighty jungle... Grandy cries tonighttttt 🎵god I love her. Hope she still loves me after my sass.

I looked up the NZ war birds cool. Must read that post again and want to memorize the cloud and atmosphere stuff.

I feel comfort knowing you read Croixy I read a few too and randomly post in batches. I want to get over feeling I need to catch up if I've been quiet a while but then again it's not a major

Hope your day was good Mr Croixy, hi to Mrs Croixy and nice putty tat. Lol at needing the ambo.

Enjoy your night and everyone ☺
