When the floor disappears

Hi,

I have been very low for the past 2 weeks and normally I lift after a few days but this time it feels like the floor has disappeared from under me.

The anxiety,  panic, overwhelming fear , the paranoia and dread, everything will fail and come to a catastrophic end .

And to think prior to this I was confident and enjoying life  being the man who is on top of everything .

I run a small business and its going well, I manage clients, i look after my elderly parents, etc etc if there’s an issue Im motivated to resolve it.  Looking back I was oblivious to what lay ahead.

Since I was young I had highs and lows , medicated then stopped and managed with excesses .

This time is different and I actually reached out for help

Keep talking, messaging, communicating how you feel and we will find a way round this mess.

I find it comforting to read your post. Just knowing that others like yourself are struggling makes me feel less alone and less overwhelmed.

Its good youre asking for help, its too hard otherwise. The problem is finding good help.

Hi @Mark07a

I definitely relate to the finding it hard to find good help! It took me until my third attempt at a subject to find the appropriate help for me!

Hey trying my best

Third attempt with a health worker do you mean?

Hi thank you for your words . I saw a doctor today and he was very concerned about my well being. He asked a lot of questions and made many notes.
I’m grateful I have found someone who listened to me and wants to closely monitor my condition.  When walking back through a park I felt an incredible sadness and my eyes seem to see everything yet nothing at the same time .
I will follow through with the anti-depressant and appointment with psychologist.
