I’ve been waking up every morning at the same time and i have a panic attack for past week. My heart races, pain in chest, muscle tension and I feel hot. My thoughts then go crazy!
I’ve recently had a relationship break which has broken my heart. And now I’m faced with this unwanted panic and thoughts.
Anyone had morning panic attacks before?
Advice please!

Hello Clear, welcome here. I hope you don't mind, but I have more questions than answers. Have you had experience with this sort of thing before? What are the thoughts running through your mind when you have one? Do you have these feelings at other times of the day?
You mention a relationship breakup which has rocked you by the sounds of things. Perhaps if you went into some more detail about what has happened there, it might give some clues as to why you're feeling like this and what you might be able to do to work through it.

Oh dear, sounds like you are having a rough time. If possible, could you get up a little later? I find I struggle on work days getting up at 5am because its dark, but on weekends I get up a 7am and feel much better because the sun is up.
If you are having panic attacks, I found what helped me was knowing that I was having panic attacks and not asthma attacks. Knowing that they will pass and just focusing on breathing slowly.

Hi Clear82,
Firstly, welcome to the forums.
I have dealt with those middle of the night anxiety attacks so I know how you are feeling, mine were always around 4 am and the same issues, heart beating fast, hands numb, I was freezing and shivering and just a general state of worry.
It may be related to your break up or other things, one thing I would suggest if booking in to see your local GP and letting them know about how you are feeling, they may refer you to a psychologist so you can work through your feelings to help alleviate these panic feelings, it helped me when I was going through it.
My best for you,
Jay
