Waiting for biopsy results

Jess13
Community Member

My partner was told he has a mole that is cancer. We are currently waiting to see what type & he also had a biopsy from his lymph node to see if it has spread. Get the results if it’s terminal ‘next week sometime’

well this is the worst scenario for me, here I am meant to be strong for my amazing partner who is always there for me but instead I am debilitated by the wait. I can’t work, eat, sleep or function in any way. Nothing distracts me as the anxiety has taken over

Hi Jess

First off, I’m very sorry that your partner is facing cancer. And I totally understand your anxiety, the “what ifs” must be really challenging. Hugs to you both.

I went through a very similar situation a few years ago with my mum. I know it’s hard.

Please try to breathe and remind yourself that nothing is yet certain. Until there is evidence to the contrary, there is no reason not to believe that this cancer is treatable. Cancer can be beaten and there are many treatments available.

Perhaps it would help to pop in and see your GP to garner some strategies for managing your anxiety.

Hang in there, lovely.

Kind thoughts to you
