Hey Kmart96
I too suffer from health anxiety and for years have had sleep insomnia. I share your pain and tiredness. A few things that have helped me are breathing exercises, meditation in particular mindfulness which I do about half an hour before bed. There are many apps out there to get you started if you are new to breathing exercises.
A few other things that help me are reading before bed and actually writing, sometimes I keep a journal and sometimes I just jot down the things I’m anxious about Scared about ect. And when I close the journal I tell myself it’s gone from my mind, easier said than done I know-This may or may not help but I definitely recommend some kind of meditation or breathe exercise or even just listening to calming music before bed.
On a side note if you are concerned the lack of sleep is affecting your health I would recommend just speaking about it with your doctor or GP. Explain exactly how you feel and why. Tell them about your stress just get it all off your chest. It can be hard I know personally, but it is the first step to getting better, they are there to help that’s their job and there is no reason to go it alone. Hope somthing here helps.
Stan

hello,
i feel your pain i am currently in high school i need my sleep so bad so that i can concentrate in class, but it's just not working for me! I've done everything. Creating a nighttime routine that includes: yoga, journaling, meditation, breathing exercises, reading, gratitude writing, essential oils, creams and sprays. some of the time these things help soo much and i really recommend creating a nighttime routine that includes some of these things! that has helped me so much!
lately, people have been commenting saying i look dead or really tired and yes i feel how tired i am. some days i struggle to function but i push through(looking like a zombie).

Hi Kmart96,
It's terrific to see you're going to consult with your doctor; I think it's for the best.
The other great users on these forums have provided some great insight, sorry to hear youcantknow that you're experiencing the same thing especially during a stressful time like school.
Something that works for me is sleeping music. Have you tried some of the great Spotify playlists? More specifically White Noise playlists? Worth a try right?
Furthermore, I'm sure you already know this, but try avoiding sugar and caffeine after 4 PM. I know I can't get to sleep if I've had any after that time.
I really hope you guys get on top of your anxiety; I know for sure it's such a restrictive thing to live with.
Remember, you're the same as everyone else; Perfect <3.
Best of luck Kmart96 for Thursday.
Best Wishes,
C.
PS: Take a listen to MØ's Blur on Spotify, I think it relates so much to anxiety.
