Hi,
I am having trouble with sleeping not getting to sleep but staying asleep. I wake up at 4am every morning and cannot get back to sleep, i am exhausted and i know it only adds to my anxiety. Most of the time i wake up feeling nauseous, does anyone else get the same? Any tips on how to get a more restful sleep?
I should mention i am not on medication as I'm trying to recover without for now. I am open to taking natural supplements if there are any suggestions for that.
Thanks.

Hi,
Welcome.
Can you please tell me how you go to sleep? For example, do you go to sleep with many ideas or issues buzzing around in your mind?
I would wake up at 2am and 4am daily. At 2am cause of what I was thinking about and at 4 cause of the cat. But lack of sleep and broken sleep can be problematic. If you do have things going on in your mind when going to sleep there are ways of dealing with that. My psych recommended I use relax melodies.
On the nauseous feeling, I get that you by but maybe for different reasons. By that I mean, I get that from either a reflux condition or cold.
But I also think that many of my issues related to anxiety also - that is itchy scalp, redness, reflux can all have one thing in common. Stress! Doesn't mean that it is the same for everyone.
So what does this all mean for you? Our bodies try to tell us when things are going wrong and it depends on how well we listen to our bodies.
You said that you have been on medication. So I would assume that you had been to a GP previously. If so, maybe you might want to consider checking in with your GP again?
There is not much more I can say from your post without making assumptions.
I hope you might get some ideas from my reply. And maybe fill us in with more of your story?
The people here all respond with respect and without judgement. Feel free to post again.
