Severe anxiety

Hi, new here... (may have a half finished post somewhere - sorry)

I have had anxiety since I was a child.
I have suffered from both anxiety and depression for most of my life
About 7 weeks ago i hit rock bottom. I had a really bad anxiety episode
That left me physically ill. And I was miserable and depressed and crying
For almost a week.

Since then, with the support of my mum, my partner and various health professionals,
I have gotten better, walking daily, eating well, sleeping well, but Easter night
I was ill again. And now I am back to where I started.

It feels worse then the first time though. Everytime I think about things that would normally make me happy
Or make me smile I feel miserable and I'm in dispair.

It's allot worse than what I've written but I don't want to trigger anyone who may be struggling.

Thanks for listening/reading

HI Yellow

Saw the psychiatrist today. I felt a lot better than last week. Even had a chance to discuss election (me more about how annoying the adds about it are). Only a small change for now. Still gonna see me in 3-4 weeks due to the fact I did have a rough patch 2 weeks ago. But at least it is a step forward (maybe two forward and one and a half back)

It is good your psychologist is bringing up a strategy. They are understanding of your anxiety and trying to work with you to get through it. Some people can jump in the deep end, some people want floaties for a bit before jumping in. (I'm probably the latter) As long as you feel comfortable with the psychologist and it is helping then it is great. I found that it took me a while to feel this (which is normal) so I am glad you are feeling ok with it so early on.
