Hi Nic and welcome to BB!
I do have sleeping issues due to my illnesses, but not sure I can help with panic attacks.
Just thought I would acknowledge your post and see if some of our other members have suggestions for you.
Post again if you would like to tell us a bit more about yourself.
Take care
K

Hi Nic
Welcome to our forums.
My biggest tip is to distract yourself by reading a book, going for a walk, cooking something nice etc. Don't think too much about sleep as your body needs to calm down. The more you think about sleep, the less chance it will come to you!
Are you able to tell us more about your background? Are panic attacks new to you?

Hi Nic, I like to wrap myself up in a warm blanket and try to take deep breaths and relax. Reading is also a great way to distract yourself, or even journal some of your thoughts/feelings down. Sounds odd but even something like putting moisturiser all over yourself can work, or self massage. Anything that you find relaxing or enjoy doing.
