During with anxiety, roughly 3 weeks ago I had my first ever panic attack filled with crying and tremors. I’ve been off work since then and the GP gave me medication which I took for two days and then stopped cause of the horrible side effects. I’m seeing a psychologist which keeps me calm but thinking about going back to work fills me with dread and constant panic. I don’t know what to do.

Hello,
Welcome to the forums. I really feel sorry for what you are going through at your workplace. You deserve to work in a safe and respectful environment. Work anxiety can really impact your performance, quality of work and relationships with managers and colleagues.
If you don't mind me asking and if you are comfortable sharing, did anything happen recently in your workplace that has triggered these panic attacks?
Glad to hear you are seeing a professional and that's working, to relax your mind.
Self-care is really important, taking a walk on your lunch break can help boost your mental and physical health. Mindfulness also works wonders, if you want to give it a try.
Also, setting boundaries and finding a work-life balance can help with your anxiety and can make you more productive at your job.
Hope you feel better and enjoy going to work. I am here to listen if you feel like unloading...
Take care
Happylife

hello and welcome.
And just to add my 2c worth to what Happylife said...
I'm really sorry you're going through this. It’s great that you’re seeing a psychologist—having that support can really help.
For different reasons I have had time of work... From my own experience then, if the idea of returning to work feels too much, maybe it’s worth talking to your GP or psychologist about easing back in gradually.
It’s okay to prioritize your mental health. Please be kind to yourself and if you want to chat more please continue to chat, cause I'm listening and having that sense of dread you speak about is really tough, but you're not alone. I know that sounds like a cliche 😞
Here for you...
