Nausea & anxiety

Does anyone else out there suffer from nausea and anxiety together?

I get overwhelmed with nausea and that leads to anxiety

Hi. I'm similar but in reverse. I'm always anxious and have trouble with nausea to the point where I can develop digestive issues, feel faint and feel like crying. Overwhelming is definitely the right word here. I've had all tests lately. Blood, MRI, colonoscopy to check my intestines. All tests are clear. Physically I'm fine. Mentally I need to find someone to talk with. Hoping therapy is my key

I doubt this helped in any way 🤔 but you're definitely not alone in this

Hi Guest

Welcome to the Beyond Blue forums and having the courage to post too!

Our digestive system is the most sympathetic to any form of stress...or anxiety...

You mentioned that you get overwhelmed with nausea which causes you anxiety. Like Guest 60156369 the anxiety is usually the catalyst for any digestive problems

I understand your situation as when I have experienced anxiety then my digestive system becomes affected including nausea.  It can be awful to experience...yet is a common symptom.

There are many super kind members that can be here for you!

You are not alone here
