A very warm and caring welcome to our forums…
Having slight anxiety is something that can be managed mostly by ourselves….but when we are diagnosed with severe anxiety and it starts to impact our lives in the way that we’re struggling to get through each day and struggling with life on a daily basis…I think it’s time to reach out to our Dr……Is reaching out to your Dr. Something that you would consider?
I have severe anxiety and a few years back…I didn’t leave my home for a few months, not because I didn’t want to, but because it was too hard to…my anxiety was ruling my life….after some gentle persuasion from the people on these wonderful forums, I found my courage and reached out to my Dr…she set up a mental health care plan, which included 10 free sessions with a psychologist, who helped me a lot….as well as a bit of talk therapy, my psychologist also taught me ways to copes by giving me some coping strategies…I think it’s something that’s worth a try…..it might help you to gain control over your severe anxiety…
You can check out our grounding thread….if you feel to, it’s called .”Grounding ourselves, what is it and how do we”…It might help you with some coping tools when you and your anxiety needs grounding….
Please talk here anytime you feel up to it, hopefully others will call in to talk to you and offer there suggestions….you are not alone Dear Ksimp…

I'm so sorry for your challenge.
Do you want to share if have tried any professional treatment, for example, seeing a psychologist? I believe it's very important for severe anxiety. If you haven't started yet, it's a good idea to start with your GP for a referral. You can also feel free to ring Beyondblue hotline to have a chat with a professional.

Hello Ksimp87, thanks Grandy, but if you are struggling with severe anxiety it certaiinly restricts your ability to achieve anything but each type of this illness can be treated differently, but support is always here for you.
If you could please tell us what you are worried about then we can direct our concern to try and help you.

I am sorry you are struggling with anxiety. I also struggle with it myself - you are not alone. It can be really hard to cope sometimes, and that is okay, but I just wanted to let you know that there is a way out.
Do you see a psychologist or mental health professional about your anxiety? If you don't, it might be a good idea to visit your GP and talk through your anxiety - they can refer you to a psychologist. I know it can be daunting but therapy was the main thing that helped me overcome my anxiety. There is light at the end of the tunnel, but you cannot fight this battle entirely alone, you need to ask for professional help.
Of course, we are all here to talk but we cannot solve the problem - we can just offer advice. The beyond blue hotline is available 24/7 as well.

For the last 4 weeks I've been suffering really bad anxiety, I can't even walk out of the house everyone seems like I'm in my movie or something and I've also got health anxiety to top it off thinking things are wrong with me i know this might sound crazy but I keep looking at my pupils thinking ive got a brain injury or bleeding I can't do this anymore I feel like giving up tell someone help or talk to me and the story behind the all this mental Heath is I lost my son 4 years ago and it's hurts

We think it’s always really good to keep your GP updated with health anxiety and physical symptoms. I'm a 20 soon to be 21 year old I just need some advice about what's going on in my life in 2017 I've lost my uncle and 2018 I've lost my son it took a big toll on me , for 5 years I didn't speak to anyone about my problems or how much pain was cause me but I regret it because it build up over the years now I'll suffering bad I can't even go out of the house and face reality because it feels like I'm in a movie , can't go to the store without feeling my pulse and walking out because I'm scared and if anything happens to me I'll be alright because I'm sitting in the car and also I'm suffering from health anxiety every minute I thinking there's something wrong with me I just wanna overcome this I hate this feeling and place I'm in right now I try talk to my family but they say they don't wanna hear it , and that's hurts me so much thinking they don't care about me and my mental health...

Yes I understand. You are certainly not alone. Sorry to hear about your son.
I've been struggling with depression & anxiety for some years now. Some days seem impossible and I just cannot get out of the darkness despite reframing my thinking etc. When that happens, I close my eyes and tell myself to keep going, just get through today and then tomorrow will be a new day. Tomorrow may feel just as dark when it arrives but just keep going (kind of like how you eat/sleep everyday without thinking about it). One day will come that you'll be able to see something positive. Even if it's something small, a small-win can be a big help in getting you out of the darkness that you're feeling right now. Thank you for sharing your story. I'm so sorry to that you were so deeply traumatised. I do understand that you couldn't talk to anyone about what happened to you. But you just managed to speak out, how brave! You should be proud of yourself about this huge progress. Do you feel some relief?
When you say it's very challenging for you to leave home but you're alright to sit in the car, do you think you can manage to see your GP? It will be very helpful if you can see a doctor for a health check, and get a referral to a psychologist.
