Medication Struggles

I have just entered my second week of medication for anxiety and still feel nauseous which is frustrating, but more frustrating is my mental fight about having to take medication, you see I work in the field of alternative medicine so feel like a fraud at not being able to help myself.
Does anyone work in this field of work and struggle mentally with the decision to medicate or is this feeling common for a lot of people?
Thanks

Hello lelebe,
I'm new here but with the same problem. Have you tried any of medications for nausea? I tried everything what I could find. Try not to be hungry ( pretzels are my saviours 😊
This is my 2nd time going through anxiety but under different circumstances.
My gp helped me even with finding the right medication for me because my panic attacks were severe. This type of help is limited and been used only in case of emergency (but also helps with nausea).
With the time I learnt to calm myself during insomnia, watching every possible series on TV,reading books, playing games ect. For anxiety,DISTRACTION is one of the best solutions. Unfortunately ,takes time for meds to kick in and in the meantime we need anything what can help.
All the best and good luck

Hello Lelebe, your doctor can either prescribe an anti-nausea medication or can give you an injection and Hoya has said, although you might not feel hungry, once you have something it does make you feel better, try dry biscuits or some toast with a scraping of vegemite on it.
Your anxiety can have many different triggers some of which may not have happened before, so try and write down the situations where this could begin from.
Geoff.

Hi lelebe,
Just checking on you. How are you and how it's going with medication?
I'm in similar situation, already W 5 ,some things improved but still waking up in the middle of the night, tremors in my body ( chest) and restless. Hopefully it'll settle down. Cheers

Hi All thankyou for taking the time to reply to me.
I decided to stop Medication it was really messing with my sleep and after over 2 weeks of insomnia and trying to work full time i gave in.
I have actually been good so far bedsides the nausea that still is quite regular but nothing like being on the medication.
It makes me think that perhaps nausea could be my anxiety. Not sure.
