Hi Craig,
Warmest of welcomes to the forums. You will find many kind and understanding people on this space.
It sounds like you're having a really rough time. Panic attacks can be extremely isolating and scary, I have been experiencing them for a number of years myself. Coping with your health issues must be awful also, so sorry to hear this.
Do you have any interests that bring you joy Craig? I myself love listening to podcasts and watching documentaries on various topics. I love interior design also. I find trying to immerse myself in things I love is when I can get a little relief.
Kindest thoughts
CS

Craig - That's awesome that you have your buddy parrot, fascinating creatures!
You're so right when you say we have to keep 'plugging' away. That's what dealing with anxiety and health issues feels like doesn't it, that we have to take everyday step by step, sometimes hour by hour when it gets really bad.
As far as the virus goes, I wasn't to worried to start with but as the numbers are rising, I have found myself thinking about it more. It has seemed to trigger my OCD a bit - I have had a bit of a cleaning frenzy in order to feel a bit more in control. I try to tell myself that we live in a country that has an excellent health service and from what I hear, they say they are very prepared for the worst (I hear terrible things coming from New York so we should probably feel blessed we live here and not there). I have had a few nights of insomnia also - no fun is it!
Trivia is heaps of fun. Last trivia question I heard was ..which country has no mosquitos? ...Its Iceland. Maybe some people see it as a dumb fact but I think its a cool piece of info !

I am a Tasweigan also 🙂 Born there but moved to QLD 16 ish years ago - I often miss the freshness and beautiful scenery of Tas.
I don't think you are selfish at all Craig - you have a lot on your plate and anxiety can be so cruel sometimes and trap us in our heads. That's why its great you have posted, so many of us here understand where you are at and now in these uncertain times its even more important to connect with likeminded people.
If you don't mind me asking, do you have a good GP who is of help to you Craig? I think its so important to have a good GP - I myself am on the search for a decent one, I haven't had much luck with GPs since my 'good' one moved interstate to practice. Since then I haven't felt very supported.
