Hi
Has anyone had a bad experience with job angaincies who are meant to help you look for work but don't and sometimes give you anxiety atacks.
I was at one and they told me that I had to stop taking my medication for Deperssion and OCD.
I think that is not their decision because they are not my health care professionals.

Hi Geoff
Thank you for replying
I have made a compliant about that person to the manager but nothing has been done about it.
I don't really want to go back there.

You don't have to go back there, nothing is compelling you to do so, try somewhere else.
These agencies get their money from the government and if they don't meet the required limit, they are shut down, so it's in their best interest to do a good job. Geoff.

Hello Arnie,
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with job agency, that is truly terrible. And like Geoff said, you can call to to change the Job network provider. I did, not to long ago, after I was told by an employee that I was "too old to be applying for retail jobs". I called centre-link and asked to be changed. They didn't have a problem switching me.

hello and yep! Been there, done that - they've certainly made my life worse off and finding a job harder. Still, we must do these things. My simple advice- Ignore them and do your own thing (job search or find a hobby to occupy yourself anyway, and stick to your meds regardless of what they say!), go to the ombudsman or local MP or join the Unemployed Workers Union and talk with them, then request an exit. Demand it get signed! My job agency refuse to sign an exit form or even bother going through the process of getting me off their books, even though I've been an absolute nuisance to them after the way I have been treated. (Alas, Revenge doesn't work apparently...hmm lol.)
I wish you luck, strength, positive communication and affirmations. You can do things your way, you have rights, you just keep on doing what your doing and dont worry about them 😄 All the best

Hey there Banjoman - just a note, unfortunately, Centrelink can't do anything. Its up to your Job Agency (that Centrelink put you into in the first place!) to take steps to allow for exit.
I have approached another agency. They initially said they couldn't, but after I protested, the new agency took steps to get me on their books. I haven't yet started with this new agency, but I'm hoping to work well with them soon. Its not easy to transfer from one place to another, but it can be done!
Dont let anyone put you off.
Don't take no for an answer
Don't let others tell you stuff that isn't right like that - ignore them.
Even though this isn't true, it sure seems to be their job to try to get as many people very angry/hurt enough to get a job themselves and off their books.
Any way, keep us posted! Good luck!!!

Hi
Thank you
I spent awhile on hold with Centrelink they said they can't do anything about it.
They told me to get a transfer form from another angince or that I can make a compliant and they gave me a number.
