Hope everyone is having a good or better than usual day today. Im going to try and stay positive throughout this post as i find negativity makes me think about my problems more and i feel worse. The last few days have been very similar. Not really bad but not the best either. Anxiety still likes to stick around which is very annoying. I try and keep myself busy with my daughter who is a handful as shes home from childcare atm as shes sick, just a cold i think but gota go to the docs anyways in case its an infectious as she has a very chesty cough and her nose wont stop running. I guess thats kids for ya. She would be home with me today anyway as she doesnt o to childcare on thurs. Even if its not an infection think ill leave her home 2moro then she will be 100% when she goes back on monday. Dont wont her to get worse or recatch another bug. I know this is all prob very boring to a lot of you but just thought id have a bit of a chat to see what everyone is up to so i can get my mind off my anxiety. Also watching scrubs atm which is pretty funny so thats another good distraction. Well my daughter is screaming for attention so hope to talk to some of you soon 🙂 Take care x

dear Chloekat, thanks for posting as you must be feeling as though you just wanted to re-connect with us, which is always a ggod way to talk, not face to face unfortunately but close to it.
Forgive me but I have forgotten how old your daughter is, but although a handful for you, I'm sure that she loves being home, doesn't it take you back to our younger days staying home and not going to school, watching all those TV programs, the 3 stooges, superman and so many other programs.
Your a good mum taking her to the doctor and I presume it's your GP, so did he/she ask how you were going on the medication. L Geoff. x

Hi Chloekat,
Well done for taking the initiative, I'm going to try and stay positive with you. I don't know what kind of experiences you've had with your anxiety, but I find that sometimes if I try not to engage with the anxious, irrational thoughts playing around my head then it feels noticeably better.
I hope your daughter is OK (I'm sure she will be fine), it's probably just one of those winter colds that everyone gets occasionally.
All the best,
Ben

Hi Chloe,
It was nice to read your post and hear of your goal to stay positive. We can often get so caught up in our illnesses that we forget about the routine of daily life.
There are plenty of positives in the day to day things sometime we just don't see them as clearly if our mood is low. I bet when your daughter is in day care you miss all of her cuddles, so despite her being sick I bet it's nice to relish in as much together time as you can.
Putting on a tv show or movie and finally hearing ourselves laugh can be such an uplifting moment. Laughter truly is the best medicine sometimes.
What sorts of things do you and your daughter enjoy doing together?
I love spending time with my nieces, we head out to the garden and look for caterpillars and lady bugs, we dance around the house to our favourite music, we paint our nails, make chocolate milkshakes and fairy bread. It's so nice just to enjoy the simple things for a while.
Hope today you can be just as positive.
AGrace

I feel a bit better today so trying to make the most of it and stay happy as much as i can. Hope u guys are having a good day as well. Talk soon. Take care x
