How are you doing kat_kai ?
I’m here if you need someone to talk to?
When my anxiety is up and down through a mindfulness session I had to pick a colour that makes me happy 😃. Of course I picked yellow. As I am a trained florist I decided yellow flowers. I actually bought some today. But unbelievable every time I see yellow in nature or anywhere it calms me down. I know it might sound silly 😜 but it’s often the simple things that work!

Hey Kat.
I hope you’re in the process to finding someone you can trust. It will take time but when you do, it will be the greatest step you will ever do.
I recently just found a counsellor that I found I connected with. I came out to them and even cried twice to them... and I don’t cry ever.
To me, that was a great sign to a healthy recovery.
You can do it, it will take time. Just keep trying and don’t give up. You will meet someone, eventually.

Hello,
I also have really bad anxiety. I went to many Dr’s and psychologists over a long period of time and figuratively traveled far and wide to find what worked for me and these is such an endless amount of things to try.
You are already on the right track.
Without knowing you I would say you are quite independent and just want to find what is really right for you that really hits that nail on the head. I might be wrong but if we are similar in that way as i stated i went to many professionals and heard the same old suggestions over and over and eventually just had to sit down with the old journal and really put my expressions to paper.
Walking also really helps me, I have to do it every single day or i start to what i call “bank” excessive clutter in my head again.
journaling and walking were to very helpful things to do but then I started finding other expressive channels like strumming a guitar and banging a hand drum. Sometimes i just roll around on the bed for a while and make silly noises to the delight of my 10 month old.
I play silly kids games, or even just find my giggles laying on my back with my legs and arms in the air.
Look in the mirror and make dumb loud animal noises and weird impressions until you make yourself laugh.
baking is another one or cooking.
Keeping Television and internet to a minimum and switching to interesting stations on the radio like jazz and then classical and then metal and just changing up as i see fit.
I love talking about these kind of suggestions, helps me remember what i use to do to get out of these funks.
Remember that everyone is loved by someone, even the worst people who have existed.
If all that fails have you tried getting yourself a pet?
Learning to read Tarot cards really helped me to unpack and understand why some of my feelings were there. This may sound odd unless you to are a reader.
I even journaled the spreads
I found Tarot reading a very effective type of cognitive therapy that most other people wouldn’t consider.

It's difficult finding personally suitable doctors and professionals. Mind health is such a personal thing. The method I am now thinking of using is to think back to any doctors in the passed that seemed to be helpful and that I felt comfortable with, and try to go back to those. In my long history I can think of maybe 4. Of those, two are no longer doctors, one might be good to see but I do not know all that well, the forth had moved to another practice and is now more expensive. So at least in my case I may have found 1 maybe 2.
