We’re sorry to hear that you’ve been having a hard time with your anxiety lately. It can be quite confusing to not know why stuff like this happens and what we can do about it.
Have you been able to talk to anyone about this before? A friend you trust? A parent? Or maybe a doctor?
What has helped before when you feel anxious? Maybe try listening to some music or going for a walk. Sometimes just changing our environment can help us break out of an anxious cycle.
You could also try calling our friend’s at Kidhelpline for support or if you feel like things are getting to be too much. You can talk to them on the phone at 1800 55 1800 or use their chatline if you prefer to type instead of talk (https://kidshelpline.com.au/)

Hi Kat_Kai,
I can understand how difficult it must be to reach out and talk to someone when crippling social anxiety affects you. Finding someone trustworthy to talk to can be hard, but I agree with lots of the replies that it would definitely help. I do understand that finding the person or persons will take time though. Sometimes I don't talk to anyone at all.
When you go on your walks, what about the process helps you cope and clear your mind? Do you listen to music as well? If it's the escapism or the distraction that's helping, have you tried other methods of approaching your anxiety? I find that journaling my feelings and writing down affirmations really helps me.
I hope today was better for you.

Sorry to hear this Kat Kai, I’m sure there is a health professional out there that you could feel comfortable with.... I understand how crippling anxiety attacks can feel..... and anxiety in general....
I once had severe anxiety OCD I seeked the help of professionals so I could get better and live a full life.... I have now recovered thanks to the help of professionals...I think anxiety is the same as having any medical condition it needs treatment... if it’s causing you distress I wouldn’t do it alone.......
im always here to chat to you

Hi kat_kai,
I read your post and I had to send you a message. Every person’s experience with anxiety is different. I have had ups and downs and anxiety ebbs and flows like sea waves sometimes but trust me there is help out there! When anxiety is high we go in to self protection mode and don’t trust people. I encourage you to see a GP or ring a help line and go from there. I’m a mum, nurse, wife, dog lover and even though I have had this anxiety all my life the health professionals really set me on good path. In my case only I have had a wonderful life. Yes sometimes it’s hard but you are stronger than you think. I am so thankful to my GP and for myself who helped me. There is so much help out there. Please give beyond blue a call! My 18 year old has anxiety to and since seeing her GP and seeing a wonderful psychologist , medication, a exercise routine , and listens to apps like smiling mind, and is so much better. You will get there, you just need to take that step! Give beyond blue a call or kids help line. You can do this!
