Hi All,
I feel that my body is really light, and I become stressed over nothing. For example, I sent a message to the wrong friend and then I became paralyzed with worry. It was a private message, and had some personal things in it. Furthermore, I feel that my heart is pounding, and often try to hide from people, and do things so that no-one can see me.
I never used to be like this, and this has only happened over the last 4 months. I had a motorcycle accident last year, but never experienced any PTSD.

Hi there,
not that l'm an expert but sounds like anxiety. I suffer from it and often feel as though I'm in another world, light as you described.
you know it was a long time after awful events happened in my life that my panic and anxiety issues started, so maybe it could be due to your accident last year. I hope all settled?
best wishes

Hi Molokow.
Welcome to beyond blue
as you may already know that we are not doctors on this site so we can not offer you a diagnosis.
But the symptoms that you do describe I have had them before during the times I may be suffering from an anxiety attack.
what I will suggest that you go to your GP and talk about what you are going through. normally if you have not been too the dr before about the symptoms you described and have not been diagnosed with a previous mental illness like anxiety the DR like to run some blood test and do a health check up to make sure nothing else is going on.
There is also a helpful youtube clip out by beyond blue called I am anxiety that maybe helpful for you to describe what's going on.
I hope things get better for you soon
Good Luck

dear Molokow, hello and it's great to be able to talk with you.
What you have said does happen so much, and it happens with me and I'm old 60 years old, but it still happens if I have done exactly as what you have said.
Whether this person was someone who you used to communicate with, but now had a fallout with doesn't really matter, because they may not have any people who they can send this message onto, and even if they do, who is going to believe them, but if however people would believe them you could say it was just a stooge, and just wanted to falsely encourage them on.
You have to remember suffering from PTSD can create many problems which no one is capable of being able to sort through what has happened by yourself, as this illness just stays with us and can do so for a long time, and eventually you may think that it has gone and left you, but no it's now a hidden illness that we don't know that we still have it, but yes it's there as an unknown illness that can affect what we do.
It can be treated by a psychologist, and if you go and see your doctor, they will be able to organise a mental health plan, which will give you 10 free visits to see a psychologist, and this can happen every year.
So please take advantage of this, it maybe able to help you. Geoff.
