Hi BSP, welcome
Ok, some maths lol.
10% of people have a diagnosed mental illness
10% have an undiagnosed mental illness
20% have empathy, kindness towards those with mental illnesss.
That leaves 60% at leadt that have no idea how to deal with mental illness, they are totally out of their comfort zone.
So, dont be too hard on mum and dad. But you can advance your knowledge a lot on this topic, by coming on here its a great step for you and I admire you a lot for it.
I have some threads I'd love you to read. Just google them
Topic: depression, a ship on the high seas- beyondblue
Topic: seeking the origins of anxiety- beyondblue
Topic: anxiety, plan your future- beyondblue
Topic: anxiety, how I eliminated it- beyondblue
Topic: they just wont understand why? - beyondblue
Even if you just read the first post they might help.
Thanks for writing in.

Thank you so much for replying.Lol I feel so unempathetic now. Thank you for the references and for the maths lol. And somehow you managed to read the worst structured paragraph ever.
