- Hi I'm turning 47 in 4 months, I've come off the pill after many years, and I'm experiencing what I think is perimenopause. My period is still fairly regular, but I'm experiencing hot clammy skin alot, weight gain, aching joints and recently heavy legs. I try to exercise 4 times a week on a spin bike, but my legs don't feel achy from that they just feel different?? is this a symptom anyone else can relate to? Thanks

Hello Dear Over it!,
A very warm and caring welcome to our forums..
I remember when I first went off the pill, all sorts of strange things started happening to me, I think some were my body adjusting to being free of the pill and others were due to menopause….I made a Drs appointment and talked about what was happening to my body….she then explained a few things that happens to our body when stopping the pill and entering into peri menopause…
Please Over it!, as we are all different and our bodies act differently to another person, can I gently urge you to reach out to your Dr and explain to them what you’re going through….they can help you to understand the natural transformation your body is going through and hopefully help you with easing your unpleasant symptoms…I think with understanding what our body is going through, we stress less about it. you don’t need to go through menopause alone…
My kindest thoughts dear Over it!,
Grandy..

- Thanks for your reply Grandy, I will make a drs appointment as it would be good to understand what my body is going through, I also suffer with health anxiety so these weird sensations only makes that worse and having a better understanding can only help. Appreciate your response 😊
