Having a therapy session this afternoon.

I am seeing my psychologist this afternoon. Last appointment was a month ago. So I am kinda anxious. I have not been outside in 4 weeks except a couple of times trying to do some weeding in the garden. I have a fast fast pulse, breathing feels wrong, random pain sensations, racing thoughts, jittery legs, feeling sickly, chest tight, eyes are a bit blurry, throat feels constricted, and a couple other things. How cool. Gotta clean myself up and make myself presentable for public outing. This is not gonna be fun.

Hello Dear Wookie,

I also stay in my home for weeks at a time..but do go out daily to sit in the sun..I live rural and not many people around my home..

Deep breathing Wookie Hopefully will settle your anxiety a little bit..if your driving in please be careful on the roads and if you feel a panic attack coming on please be safe and pull over until it passes...

I have some Grounding boxes in my car for that reason..you can find out how to make them and ground yourself in the thread...”Grounding What is it and how do we...

Wishing you best wishes this afternoon with your therapist...

My kind thoughts dear Wookie with a comforting hug...if that’s okay...the hug I mean..

Grandy..

Hi TheWookie,

I'm so sorry to hear about how you're feeling. Are you feeling this way because of the appointment? Or have you been feeling this way over the past month?

Thanks GG.
yes I have had agoraphobia for a long time now and have been mostly housebound with it for the better part of 10 years now. Grounding stopped working for me a while back with the therapy work we have done and I have been unable to find another method that works. Thanks though.

Thanks Moth.
I do feel the anxiety most of the time every day to a certain extent. It does ramp up when I have to go somewhere thanks to the agoraphobia. A few years back I was really bad with the anxiety and I would have 3 or 4 full blown panics a day, and be in a high anxiety state the rest of the time. Now it is markedly less but the anxiety seems to enjoy itself when it decides to hit me, especially if I have let my guard down for a time.
