Lately I have wished there was a magic switch to turn off my anxiety. It's just so hard to deal with. Does anyone else feel like this?

Ive been told to take a day at a time and dont look to far into the future when my anxiety panic disorder is there.I know i said to my gp wouldnt it be wonderful if there was a stop button you could get your finger and touch your arm and it all goes away .If that was the case it be awesome wouldnt it.

Hi cakeboss,

You are right, I also have good and bad days. It is very frustrating. I have been seeing a psychologist which helps but in between I need to deal with it myself. I think everyone has anxiety about finances.

Thanks Booklover 17 I will give them a go....i hope you are feeling better

Hi Booklover!

Anxiety intensity does decrease over time with the help of a good counselor or GP. It is an awful set of symptoms to have but a strong determination to heal can work wonders....even though it does take some time

Great thread topic Booklover 🙂

My kind thoughts

Paul

Hope is my key word for life! Especially at the moment, I hope you are feeling ok today 🙂

Yes, I am fed up with anxiety! It's so draining every day, I feel exhausted by it.

Hi there hope you start to feel a little bit better soon.I like i said in the chat up further have good and bad days.I wish some days health anxiety was able to push a button and it was gone .I had a few weeks of bliss no anxiety so happy then out of no where its back again so over it .I am in regular contact gp drs counciler i try so hard to tell myself when im having a panic attack breath okay this is not me this is anxiety and this is not me and it will pass .Someone described anxiety panic attack as like a large title wave in the ocean not wrong there Im trying so hard to breath and do the things counciler has told me to do .Is there anyone else out there who has any advice on how to calm yourself during a panic attack

I am exactly the same in the mornings when my anxiety is there.I wake up feel nausated and any little thing worries me for the day ahead.I do settle down same as you as the morning goes by.I feel yuck and anxious and well anxiety and panic. Some days are better than others .I keep telling myself these are irrational thoughts they are not me they are my anxiety panic disorder and they will pass.It works some of the time but yea im in counciling to help with this .I feel the hot weather well not sure makes my anxiety flair up

Hi Cakeboss,

There are definitely good and bad days, but as you probably know, it's hard to accept that. I have a psychologist I see but I need to get better at manging it myself. I am sorry you have been having panic attacks, I hope that you are feeling better.

Hi Blubaguette,

I am feeling a little better. Guess I will just have to keep at it. I hope you are also doing well 😊
