Hi mrw,

I was wondering if this is only happening since starting on the meds?  I was taking meds for 7 years and one of the side effects was weight gain, so I'm thinking it may have something to do with your medication.

I hope the doctor was helpful 🙂

Hi all.

health problems with it suck.

just putting it out there.

i have had multitude of problems physical wise generated by the anxiety. Similar to Dylan but the very first episode presented similar to a stroke. The phsyc thinks it could have been the anxiety after nearly a year of stresses. It was more the numbness around the mouth and eye that made them think that. Second time was a rush through the whole body like the ct dye they use followed by fatigue. Third time was similar to the second but weak at the knees. All were over in a matter of 20 minutes. Now I get the heart racing from time to time sore joints all over. Tightness in the chest and indigestion. It has been a rough road. Thought I was over it until today when I felt a pop in the stomach area (most likely indigestion, stomach has been making lots of noises) and set it all of with tightness in chest etc. all tests keep coming clear and feel like I am going crazy at times. Hospital out patient service comes down to anxiety but says go to my gp so now going back and forth from the gp all the time.

glad I'm not alone. Much relief in knowing that but sucks others are going through the same thing.

Last week i had similar symptoms.  The rush through the body and the tingling.  Just so horrible and makes you feel like you are going insane.  I have suffered depression and anxiety most of my life. Thank you for posting because it really helps me to know that i am not the only having these whacky symptoms that send me to the GP.

Even though I know its anxiety and tell myself so it doesn't help much although thankfully the dizziness and tingling have gone but i still have nausea and a vague feeling of what they call "wrongness" in my head. I have just upped my antidepressants which really help me cope so hopefully that will kick in soon and i will go back to being semi normal.

I became so paralyzed that I had to get my wife to cook for 1 week. I usually do not mind cooking a lot. Sometimes I would say or write something without thinking, and I would become paranoid that I did not think about what I said first, and that I was so stupid for not thinking before I wrote something.

Yes. When I am in stressful situations I get sweaty, red face and heart beats like crazy. Stressful situation could be as something little as someone asking me a question. I also get a complete loss of appetite, when it first started happening I didnt think that much of it but now it is that bad that its caused me to become mildly malnourished which caused my red and white blood cell counts to be low, which caused my immune system to be low, which caused me to get the flu about 4 times this winter. I have been put on multivitamins, but still need to eat. I just feel no desire to eat, nothing sparks my appetite. I also feel physically and mentally exhausted. Who knew mental health can affect so many different aspects.

This thread is very good. I feel for all of you.  After many years of depression which became very mild I have become very afraid of going into a deep depression again- a health issue I guess.  At first it was just fear.  Now I m getting a churning tummy and tightness of chest.  Reading this thread let's me know others are living with what I find a very scary condition.

  Thanks,  helen

I have been panicking a lot lately. Basically feeling like I need to have some sort of career, yet don't have any direction or motivation. I'm trying by doing a sales course in travel but even that is making me scared of failure.
So my regular symptoms of
- pressure in my head, almost making me dizzy
- aching in my back, shoulders and sometimes legs
- made my period come two weeks early (thought it was something else, turns out anxiety can do that)
- the usual constant stomach pains and sometimes uterus pains
- jaw tension. - In the past, if I've been subconsciously worrying about something and I won't even realise I'll find that I can't open my mouth as wide as normal. Two fingers width. Apparently from stress so says the doc. As soon as I fixed whatever it was that was worrying me it went away.
