Hi there,
I hope this message finds u well.
I read your post about feeling nauseous all the time, I have been through this one probably 3 times before over other physical symptoms. I always get over it with time and meds but my meds have expired and I will get more on Sunday.
Stay good
All the best
Tony

Hey all,
Ive been recently diagnosed with anxiety and started taking meds, which are helping a lot, one issue i am having (and intend to bring up with my doctor next visit) is I wake up hungry every night. This has been going on for over a year, every night, multiple times a night I wake up so hungry that I cant sleep. I have been counting my calories, eating high protein diets etc, i feel like i have tried everything, and definitely eat more than enough.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips?

Hi joey,
im only 20 and I've suffered severe separation anxiety for 16 years now.
when I have a panic attack I usually feel nauseous and sometimes vomit, headaches, increase in heart rate and feel like a cant breath. I also get dizzy and have trouble with my vision.
Everyone sometimes have different feelings and problems when having anxiety panic attacks so your not alone.

Hi Anon
I have the same thing with different symptoms relating to different health concerns. When I was pregnant I worried constantly about placental abruption and so any slight pain I had I feared this particular complication. I then got over that fear then feared DVTs and started getting pain in my calf. After an ultrasound and getting the all clear my fears turned to the birth itself. Now I safely delivered my beautiful girl I fear postpartum complications or infection and have worried so much I physically feel sick then fear I have an infection. Currently I fear PID due to some ovary pain and stomach ulcers due to some burning sensations and nausea. I know both of these things are unlikely but cannot just sit back and do nothing as the fear is too overwhelming. I dare say I will get the all clear regarding these concerns then I will get a pain or sensation somewhere new; Google the pain and develop a new health concern/fear and the other symptoms will dissapear!
Anxiety is amazing in what it can physically manifest. The brain is very powerful!

Hi, I have a lot of physical symptoms to go with my anxiety. I get severe diarrhoea and have to go to the toilet up to 5 times a day, I get a burst of heat through my body starting from my chest outwards. My eyes go weird as well as my hearing, I find I get a bit wobbly on my feet. Severe dry mouth. Upset tummy and no appetite. Sometimes my hands tremble and I either got freezing cold or sweat heaps.
im always tense and need regular massages. I find meditation very helpful.
its amazing what my body goes through, sometimes it takes a couple of days to feel normal again.

hi, im 33 and are suffering from lots of chronic fatigue systems and muscle aches and pains. Woke up one morning 6 months ago after an enduring soccer session and weeks of painting the house feeling extremely fatigued, tired, weak and shaky. Haven’t been able to get over it in the past 6 months. Did a heap of tests through GP, Endocrinologist and everything was clear, apart from glandular fever being detected, even though I didn’t have the normal symptoms. Ever since I worry about my health every day, even been to neurologist with brain scan and all clear. i feel weak, fatigued, shaky, and random other physical pains etc in my body all day and night making me more anxious and stressed. My blood pressure is up and down, but generally always feeling weak in the knees and arms with other body aches and pains which I feel im becoming hyper sensitive to.
Recently been prescribed a mild anxiety tablet that also will help with sleep. But I still keep waking up every hour at night and can’t sleep through the nights, pains, aches, numbness wake me up. I’ve only been on it for few days with no relief. I still suffer from random headaches, dizziness and hot sweats all day worry about my health, I just can’t relax and be normal. I suffer so many of the symptoms I have read in this forum. Any suggestions for help would be great, have also recently started physiologist sessions and frequent massages, helps a bit. Is all this just a heavy bout of stress/anxiety? Is this normal?

Yes physical symptoms for me are a little weird so I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me if they have had similar experience .... or otherwise I really am going mad!
Started with dizziness episodes which were actually more like feeling "drunk" and unsteady like I just stepped off a boat. This was combined with nausea a really foggy head and feeling really unable to concentrate on things even simple tasks were hard. Saw ENT surgeon and got the all clear but still had these episodes and then the panic attacks REALLY kicked in. Dizzy nausea diarrhoea shaking trembling tingles throughout body ....not fun.
Does anybody else ever get that drunk dizzy feeling with their anxiety?
Good luck to everyone on your recovery journeys and thanks for reading my post x

My anxiety started in September 2014 manifesting itself into severe stuttering and losing control of my arms when talking leaving me looking a bit like a marionette. The best thing I have done is seen a psych and after resisting for 6 months or so, started taking meds to control things. Within a couple of months, I'm back to about 90% and most symptoms have all but disappeared. Don't get me wrong, those 6 months were important to me to work things through without meds, but once I was ready, they have been fantastic.
The other thing is, and I have seen it mentioned on this site once before, face your fears to understand them if you can. I can now see where a lot of my issues came from and that gives me the strength to overcome. The triggers may not be the reason, it may be an underlying issue that straddles many triggers as was the case for me.
Good luck and I hope your recovery is swift.
Cheers Me 🙂

Hi i was just wondering what symtoms some people suffer with from anxiety. I am constantly worried about my heart and health.
I get regular palpitations day/night when im really stressed
I get back pain between my shoulder blades
Left arm aching feeling and in fingers sometimes tingling
Sore shoulder and neck pain
Dizziness sometimes
Tingling feeling around mouth and tongue
Wake up sometimes when really worried in a sweat and pounding heart
And the worst is the constant shortness of breath throughout the day like i need to take a deep breath all the time only releived when i got to sleep
Im only 24 years old and male. I have had numerous ecgs and blood work, nuclear stress test and 24 hour holter monitor all which came back good. I just always feel as if there is something wrong. All of this just came out of nowhere and started with shortness of breath about 3 months ago. Just seeing if anyone experiance things like this as i am struggling to beleive the docs that this is all anxiety as before this i was perfectly fine.
Thanks Dylan.

Hi there Dylan
Firstly, welcome to Beyond Blue and thanx for coming here and posting your message.
What I’m very pleased about is after reading through, that you HAVE been to the docs and to get this all checked out. So that has been a great step by you.
From those visits, tests and results, what have the doctors then suggested to you? Ie: have they suggested any kind of medication to help ease your symptoms? Or perhaps counselling, which might go some way to helping you possibly work out just where this anxiety has stemmed from?
Also on a personal note, I’m wondering whether you’re able to put in some exercise into your daily routine? You mention a lot about the nature of your anxiety and how it affects you – but just thinking that if you’re able to include some kind of physical activity, this could be a benefit to you (on so many levels).
Would love to hear back from you.
Neil
