Whistle,

Welcome to the forums! The Welcome and Orientation Forum is a great place to start if you'd like to introduce yourself or browse what other people have written.

Otherwise, you're in the Anxiety forum, which sounds like you're in the right place! Feel free to respond here if you prefer.

Warmly,

Aaron

Welcome Whistle...

I've been on this site for about 4 years (mainly off but used it when needed), and it had helped when needed for sure. I hope that you get some connection (and relief) in talking with other users on this site.

I find myself on this site tonight, due to having had a hard day with loud intrusive thoughts. People sometimes have s@$t days. It is okay, it isn't a crime to not be happy. It may feel yucky maybe, but it isnt a crime.

On a side note, something that has helped me recently, is getting a kitten. His name is Tigger and he's orange tabby kitten that has a teddy bear looking face and behaves like the character Tigger would, bouncing around causing mayhem ahaha. He's very smart and has tested me regularly, trust me. Ahaha. Adorable but still going through the toddler age. He's about 5.5 months old. Not sure of his age due to being a stray.

It's funny, I was feeling terrible and got on this site to reach out, and found your post. Chatting away has helped and now my feelings of loneliness (and anxiety and rumination) have past. It's just been a hard 3 months for me. I don't mean to admit this, just being honest. If you're not in the right place, you're in the right place here.

Keep posting, even if you don't get as many responses as you'd expect. The site may not be perfect, but it is still a great means of connecting with others who understand and have walked a mile in your shoes.

I've probably rambled enough now. Take care with this dreaded virus around.
