I have just started and job and I'm literally in tears just before I go. I have 2 jobs and I work with the rosters I'm given. A day before I go to my other job this job asks me to work. I say I can't. For the rest of the day the tension is high. Whatever I do is wrong. And I had my boss mumble well it would be good if you could do your 15 hours a week. Like it's my fault I am at another job. Which they knew I had and I had also said I wasn't available. This is just one thing. I feel I can't do the job. But I've been doing it 30 years at different places. I was shown how to mop a floor yesterday. I have never been shown that in 30 years there's been no problems. It's just awful and I hate going.

Hi Jules1_,
I see you have been a member for some time and this is your first post so thank you for reaching out.
It sounds like you are being treated unfairly in the new job, particularly given they were aware of your other job when they hired you. No one can be in two places at once.
Do you need this job to survive?
I am guessing that you do but could you perhaps look for a replacement while you are there?
No one deserves to be treated with disrespect, regardless of their role.
I don't know you, so don't know how you are with boundaries and standing up for yourself but it sounds like you could do with some boundaries with this boss. Please don't let one person undermine your confidence, if you have been doing this job for years without issues, then it stands to reason that the problem lies with your boss and not with you.
If you would like to continue this conversation, please feel free to do so.
Take care,
indigo
