Hi CookieMunster,
Welcome to the forums, I'm glad you found us.
You are right anxiety does suck. Step one is lots of reading, find out what you can, up the top under the heading "the facts" there is information about anxiety and I found it interesting. There is a forum here too, the one we are in, up the top there is a thread that has lots of things that people do to lessen it.
I love my mum too, and couldn't imagine life without her. I think I deal with it by making the most of life now, I would be willing to bet you are there for her after her accident, but also don't forget that little bit of caring for yourself so you can continue to be there.
I wonder how old you are if you are happy to tell us. I ask because when I was younger it seemed really impossible and over time things did get better. Also we have a young people forum which has some stellar people in it.
The hereditary question is an interesting one, from what I have read there is a pattern, but also what we experience in life plays a part, so it is complicated.
Happy to listen and talk more.
Rob.

Hello CookieMunster
Welcome to you! I have had anxiety for many years and it is major pain in the rump. I understand where you are coming from. Change can be unsettling especially with a loved one and being concerned about her well being.
Hereditary or not is a good question. I think a bit of may be but our upbringings can also trigger this dreadful disorder too. Like Rob mentioned this is a complicated area.
I am not aware of any natural remedies that have worked. Anxiety is like a physical illness...diabetes etc..The first step towards recovery is seeing your GP. Do you have a doctor that you can see?
I see that you are sad....There are many kind & caring people on the forums that can help you too! Like Rob asked..if its okay can you let us know how old you are so we can help you a bit better?
Please post back, it would be great to hear from you
Kind Thoughts
Paul

I'm sorry that you are feeling this way, anxiety is horrible 😞 I used to worry about my mum is that way too, I think perhaps we worry that once our mums are gone, who will look after us? I'm not sure about you, but I know it's pretty daunting to think about having to look after yourself, but that's what i'm trying to focus on atm. There's a product called Neurocalm which is a type of ( I think it's natural?) anxiety medication, a friend of mine has said it helps her a lot. Chamomile, green and dandelion tea also help. Young living oils are good also, and there is a type of tea called Damiana which I found really helped. I hope you are feeling better soon.
Much Love
x

Hey CookieMunster
Thankyou for posting back....it means a great deal to us as we do care a great deal about you
Anxiety is draining....I here you loud and clear there...
db9284 has excellent advice that I have just read above. (and thankyou db9284 and welcome!) My first mega panic attack hit me after 4 cups of coffee back in 1983 when I was 23...
Just so you know a bit more of who you are talking to Cookie, I am down to one cup of wonderful coffee a week now...I miss my coffee so much but I dont need the heart palpitations anymore...
Anything you want to ask or write about you are more than welcome CookieMunster
I am glad you are here 🙂
My Kind Thoughts for you
