Hello everyone reading.
I have anxiety pretty much 24/7.
I feel constantly anxious, struggle breathing, ears ringing, overwhelmed, substance abuse, constant mind heart health problems, heart racing, heart fluttering, thinking about breathing, agitated, heart palpitations, hot, sweaty, hands and feet get red and hot.
this is my life!!
I have had all health tests done and nothing has come back bad. My Mum had/has bad anxiety/depression and is medicated.
I don’t want to be medicated, I have previously and It made me feel disconnected and still had heart palpitations. I have young children and need to be a good parent to them, I can’t be disconnected from them.
I drink way too much and know I need to stop but when I don’t drink, I’m 100% more anxious. I feel like I need alcohol to cope.
please share anxiety experiences so I don’t feel alone.
much love to you all xxx

Hi Anxious247,
I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through at the moment. I was hospitalised for heart palpitations mid last year and it turned out to be due to my anxiety, so I know how it feels to be physically affected by mental health.
I know it's super tough, but I would recommend that you see someone to start talking about your coping mechanisms sooner rather than later. Alcohol is not sustainable and it's probably best if you find something else to help you with your anxiety. Talking to someone might also help you get to the root cause of your anxiety which could help you start addressing the physical symptoms.
I've recovered from the heart palpitations, but it has taken a lot of work to do so. Good luck 🙂

Hi Anxious247,
is there a pseudonym (fake name) I can call you instead of Anxious247?
It is courageous to reach out to talk about these things that are troubling you. How many kiddies do you have and how old are they?

Hi anxious247,
sorry to hear you are feeling this way....... your anxiety sounds severe.... I had severe anxiety OCD.....I have now recovered from it thanks to health professionals and medication....
my recovery started from seeing my caring gp we did a mental health plan which gave me 10 free sessions to a phycologist.... this then led me to a clinic that specialised in ocd..... I was given many tools..
I highly recommend you see a gp and let them know how you are feeling... you don’t have to feel like this..... there is help available to you .... please seek it 😊 I understand how hard it is to live with anxiety it’s hard but I think it takes a strong person to turn around and face it head on..... please face it so you can recover aswell and be there as the best version of yourself for your family 😊 it is possible to recover.... I’m living proof of this.....
I believe anxiety needs treating just like any other health condition...
😊
