Hi - I didn't know who to talk too, I feel like I am slipping back into my depression. I don't know how to stop this from happening - it's all falling apart again.

Dear Smithiks

Welcome to Beyond Blue and thank you for coming here to provide your post.

It can be very unsettling and daunting when you feel those depressive symptoms reaching out to grab hold again.  It can then be made worse if we feel we’ve got no help, no support.  If this is how you are right now, I’m so glad that you’ve found Beyond Blue and have reached out to here.  That is a huge step for you to take – a very positive one.

Now when you say, “… feel like I am slipping back into my depression.”   I read that as you’ve suffered before – may I ask what strategies or supports did you have when you last had depression?

Do you have family around you?   Friends?   Or even a trusted and good GP that you could go too?

I hope you can get back to us to give a little bit more information, so we can be better informed for how to hopefully guide you and support you.

Kind regards

Neil

dear Smithiks, welcome to the site, and we are so pleased that you feel as though the people on this site are trustworthy, well it's a site where all types of people want to post their troubles and want to seek help, advice or suggestions.

As Neil my good friend has said to you that you seem to slipping back into depression and how easy this is to do, especially when your original illness was never talked through, solved, or our mind settled, so this means that a trigger can spark us back into depression.

I too hope that you can get back to us, and please don't be ashamed of anything you want to say, because there have been so many different comments sent in to us that nothing would be a shock. Geoff.
