ever since i went overseas last year, i can’t help but feel like there if so much more out there for me. im so sick of school it’s actually the worst. i literally want to run away. staying here is making it so much worse. I would miss so many people and im so lucky to live in a safe place. but it’s boring and horrible. i really can’t deal with this place anymore. i have got to get out of here i seriously want to buy a ticket to anywhere in the world and go, see where life takes me. this doesn’t sound like a serious issue, I know but it’s messing with me so much, I cry I just can’t deal with living here anymore there’s to much to see and do. I really hate it here, what should I do? I’m just so done,

Hi, welcome to beyond blue.
You said that your problem is not that serious. And yet you posted here? It must have been important enough for you to take that action.
Is it just a boredom thing? Is it that your school days seem like nothing compared to the outside world?
Some people when they finish high school may go overseas before going to Uni.
I guess the question I have for you now is, what is the importance of doing it now? why does it upset you so much? And if this does affect your relationships, school work etc. can you talk to someone about it? School counselor?
I am interested to hear more from you and your story.
Tim

Hi Madeline and welcome to Beyond Blue.
Sorry to hear that you are struggling at the moment but it will get better. It does sound like a serious issue because it is affecting your emotional well-being. Tim has made some great points above and posed some great questions to you which if you feel comfortable answering, I am sure we can provide you with some more concrete/applicable advice/support relevant to your situation.
Where did you visit when you went overseas? When we are young, we have an extremely different outlook on life then when we are older in life. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Do you live in a rural town where there isn't much to do? What aspects of where you visited do you enjoy and are you not able to do/see similar things where you live?
Do you feel like that there is a reason why you wish to move overseas? Are you trying to escape something in particular? Of course, you don't have to answer that question to us or anybody but it is worth thinking about.
I await your replies and look forward to hearing more about you and your situation.
All the best,
Nick.
