I was with my ex girlfriend for 9 months but I caught her cheating multiple times on me, I stayed with her because I was scared of losing her but every time I caught her i felt worse and worse, I've been with my current girlfriend for only 3 months now and I feel a lot happier than I have ever been with her but when we're apart from each other we both start to break down, It's a horrible feeling because work and family time, She also likes to spend time with friends but I can't stop thinking the worst because of my ex, I wish to be able to stop this bad thinking and also be able to live without her so i can do work without being on the edge of a breakdown..

Hello LlamaKnight, and welcome to the site and thanks for posting your comment.
It's not fair to stay with someone who is cheating on you behind your back, there will be little happiness, but pleased you have a new girlfriend.
People are different in life, even your mates are all different, yes they may like the same thing, but I'm sure they all have different personalities.
Your new g/friend can spend time with her friends, just as you can with your friends, because that's what happens when you get married, so you are allowed to do this, let's take an example, you want to go fishing, go to the AFL or perhaps play some golf, while your g/friend wants to go shopping, maybe looking for dresses and what about shoes.
There's nothing wrong with this, but you both love each other, that's all you need, and yes it is terrible to be away from the one you love.
Enjoy the relationship.
Geoff.
