Self-conscious around guys??

At work, I get concerned that people around me will think I romantically like guy co-workers that I interact with/talk to, when I dont.
I wont look at them when they are passing by or nearby, because I dont want people to misconstrue our interactions. Then they get awkward around me.
I want to be friends w everyone and not be so self-conscious.
Any tips to overcome this and just be fine in all interactions?
Thanks

Hi whattodotodo,
Welcome to the community here. I would like to suggest that you try to relax around everyone and find out what feels comfortable for you.
There is nothing wrong with talking to the guys at work, if you don't want to be considered a flirt, then keep your discussions to work and light hearted conversations.
If someone takes things the wrong way, that is their idea and opinion, not how you actually feel yourself.
I feel I quite often worry about what other people may be thinking, when they may actually be worried themselves about what I am thinking about them! Maybe we all just need to relax a little and be friendly to each other.
Maybe try to have a conversation with one guy you feel comfortable with and see how that feels for you.
There is so much to learn from other people. Maybe watch how other females relate to the guys at work.
Cheers to you from Dools
