Need advice for seeking help

I need some advice to help me find some affordable help. I'm sure there are others who have shared the same experience as me and have no idea where to seek help or what to do.
I've been suffering from depression for 10 years. After my parents tried to get me help at the start (sending me to psychologists, doctors, and getting me medication). I saw the distress it put on them and the rest of my family. After a short time I pretended I was fine to stop them from worrying because they had too many other issues to deal with. I wasn't fine, I've kept it a secret ever since and I'm still struggling.
If anyone had any advice of who to see, what to do, what to say, that would be hugely appreciated.

I am sorry to hear you weren't able to get the right help. Unfortunately, psychologists can be pretty pricey, however you should be able to claim some back through Medicare, and most of them have the option of bulk billing to make things easier.
Are you still in school? Most schools and universities have a councillor or therapist on site for students, and there are also special provisions available to you like extra time on assignments and exams, and breaks in between, however you'll usually need a medical certificate for them. Definitely ask your school or institution about what is available to you. There are also places like Headspace which are directly aimed at youths, however I am unsure about the pricing, and quite often local communities have free support groups open, so have a look in your local newspaper.
If all else fails, beyondblue have a 24/7 hotline ready to listen, as well as the forums and email support. I hope you are able to find some affordable professional support, and remember we are always here to listen and point you in the right direction.

I'd love to be able to help you but I'm just a bit confused so hoping you can clarify! Your question was if anyone had any advice of who to see, what to do or what to say, but you mentioned already that you had tried to see a psychologist, doctor and gone on medication.
A psychologist usually can be incredibly helpful in helping manage the depression. Do you mind elaborating on why you stopped seeing them?
I know that it can be really difficult seeing psychologists and people who work in mental health when our families are worried. I know my parents were very uptight when I saw psychologists. But I know I had to remember that I'm doing this for me - I'm doing this so that I can feel like 'myself' again and help myself out of this depression. I'm sure that your family just want what is best for you.
