I had 3 people in my family with depression, and therapy helped a lot in short and long period. Therapy is investing in yourself and on your well being.

Hello Nath
A Warm Welcome to the BB Forums
An excellent topic and so very true. Therapy has been an invaluable management tool for me to help myself build a foundation on which I can heal. Always great to have a fresh viewpoint on a greatly misunderstood illness.
Kind Thoughts
Paul

hi Nath, a good comment, however some can take longer than others, and there are people who give up because they can't afford the cost or they don't like their psych. personally I am in awe of therapy, but you have to find the right person you can connect with, otherwise it's a waste of time.
I had counselling with my psychologist for about 20 years, and people say to me 'why she mustn't have doing a good job', to the contrary, because it was covered by workcover, and she was the only one I could say what I really felt because she wouldn't get upset.
She unfortunately left a long time ago and now I don't see anyone, but if the time came there is no doubt I would go back to whoever, and although I tried someone after her, I didn't like him, only in how he answered my questions, but haven't seen him for a long time now.
Once you can find somebody to counsel you then bingo that's a great start. Geoff.
