constant headaches, tired of the pain.

I've had tension headaches almost every day for about 6 months now, caused by anxiety. it's not always terrible pain but having a headache constantly is pretty tiring and it makes studying really hard. I'm really just wondering if anyone else has this problem and how you're going if you do.

Hello Tk202, can I, first of all, welcome you to the forums and it takes courage to be able to do this, so well done.

I'm not diagnosing you but just giving you something to think about and decide if and when you need to see a doctor.

Headaches are usually set off by a single stressful situation or a buildup of stress, and this could involve any particular situation you are in.

I get them every day as well, but I'm not young anymore, so it's more disconcerting that you are having them.

Tension headaches can be caused by anxiety, depression or being in a situation that you don't want to be in, and again this isn't saying why you have them, but you have said you do have anxiety and this can put such enormous pressure on how and what you are concerned about.

Can I ask if you have seen a doctor, and another option is for you to contact Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800, they are trained to help people from the age 5 up to 25 years old.

Reachout can also be contacted plus MindSpot 1800 61 44 34, www.psycom.net/help-kids-with-anxiety online.

I understand how this is affecting you and I'm really sorry and hope you can get back to us.

Geoff.
