Recently been diagnosed with bpd at the start of this year. Have been in and out of hospital ( never going back to that place again) and friends and family don't understand and wont help. Feeling very alone. I get extremely anxious quite a lot of the time and I want to find a release that will work for me.. breathing exercises, running, etc etc do shit all.
Also wanting to talk and make a friend who is going through it and how they deal with it and cope.

Hi T-bag, welcome
Well BPD from my limited knowledge, is a complex and serious illness. One of the symptoms is often a reluctance for the sufferer to obtain help be it medical help or even on forums and following on from that, a reluctance to continue on with such help.
By posting here you have taken a brave step so I congratulate you. Well done.
Now, please read and read some more. Thread son this forum are a good start. Learn everything you can about what you will face in the future.
There are some threads on this forum that deal with BPD and it is a very robust section that is very active commonly between BPD sufferers or their carers. So seek them out. Hopefully a members will come on ehre and discuss things with you about BPD.
Just one comment about breathing exercises and general exercise. You might think they don't assist you but they should be included as part of your long terms plans. Get into the routine and keep it there. Walking, jogging, gym work. Also muscle tensioning exercises.
Good luck and welcome here to this wonderful place.

Hi T-Bag
First of all I would like to say I find your name very amusing! made me laugh a little so thanks for making me laugh 🙂 it's always good to have a laugh when youve been feeling like crap
(Easier said than done I kno)
Secondly, it was suspected I have BPD. I wasn't thrilled when I heard that so I changed psychologists before they could test me and I'm seeing someone else now.
Sneaky I kno, counter-productive? Highly! stupid on my behalf? yea probably ... LOL
i guess I was afraid of being diagnosed with something I know little about so I've been avoiding it completely. Ive just started seeing the new psychologist so it'll be interesting to see what she thinks, but anyway .. you are not alone in your quest for knowledge about BPD. although there is no specific area designed for it that I am aware of, there is a lot of discussion around about it if you keep looking.
as for ways to release; I scream/cry into a pillow when I've reached the point that nothing else can calm me down. Punching a pillow is great if your feeling a tad angry as well.
I find having a bath & listening to meditation music/podcasts helps. Also walking outdoors works for me and so does coloring in. But I'm a very visual person do anything that looks pretty & is relaxing helps me ... no harm in giving these options a try if your interested though 🙂
i wish that I could be of more help ... I'm always here if you want to chat 🙂
