hi,
i'm sorry you are feeling this way. If it make you feel any better, you are not alone in this. When i first started dating my boyfriend i had similar feelings and used to have panic attacks before each date, it was a nightmare.
What i did was i sat down with him and i talked it through with him. i told him everything i was feeling and he understood.
the best thing to do is to take it one day at a time. each day remind yourself why you love him and tell him the same thing. keep fighting those negative thoughts. the best things are worth fighting for. I should know, my boyfriend and i have been together 6 years next month, we tell each other we love the other person everyday and are reminded that it is worth fighting for.
good luck.. and remember you are not alone in this

Hey Nikkie,
Welcome to the forum!
Thanks for your post! I also have anxiety, and I am very open with my boyfriend of 2 years about how it affects me. As Doctor who_aspy said, open communication is crucial.
Try to recognize these thoughts as just thoughts. They often are a product of anxiety, and don't directly reflect reality. Trying to push the thoughts out of your mind is unhelpful. Challenging distressing thoughts isn't easy, but it can make a difference.
These resources have helpful tips on dealing with negative/anxious thoughts:

If you don't mind me asking, have you seen a mental health professional before, about the anxiety?
It would be great to hear back from you 🙂
Best wishes,
Zeal
