I don't know how to be part of the community, I have tried several times to post but every time I try I feel like a idiot because I don't know what you require.

Hi Lillypond (and Dory09) I'm quite new here too!
But nothing is required - and don't feel silly - just chat about whatever you like.
Lot's of very welcoming people here.

Hi Wringing hands and welcome,
You don't need to do anything special to be part of the community. Your name 'wringing hands' suggests that maybe you suffer from anxiety? Would this be correct?
If/when you are comfortable you could start by telling us a little more about yourself and how you are feeling. What do like doing, do you have hobbies, pets?
