I am not really open to talking about my feelings or situations to other people, I have trouble deciding who to tell and what to tell. I'm really independent and always look to myself when I am down but I know I'm myself it doesn't work. I'm not only new to this but I'm also new to talking about my issues with others and I don't know how.

hi there and welcome to BB
here is a safe environment to share your thoughts and feelings so please dont be afraid.
i can certainly relate to what your saying, it can be hard to talk about our emotions and trusting others.
how about starting by talking here about how youve been feeling recently and we can work from there?

Hello MrMeekseeks, can I welcome you to the forum.
There are thousands of people who visit this site every day/month who are suffering from some kind of depression, large amount only read but then a post that they can relate to is when they finally decide to make their first comment.
When you are asked 'how are you feeling' what do you say, 'I'm fine' pretending to be OK but hiding massive psychological problems that no one knows about.
It's much easier to talk to someone on the computer, you don't have to look at the person and you have time to respond, that's if you want to, plus the fact we don't know who you are or what you look like, that's comforting.
You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but if you do that's when the help will begin, talking to people here is a way to realise there are others who are exactly in the same situation.
Hope to hear back from you. Geoff.
