Overwhelmed

Hi everyone I’m a 38 year old woman feeling very overwhelmed in both my personal and professional life.

I put so much pressure on myself that when something goes wrong it send me in a downward spiral and I just get frustrated to the point of crying at work or getting so angry I start fighting with people..

I get told by various people that I’m challenging , ask too many questions and it throws my anxiety off

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I feel very overwhelmed and frustrated

Hi, welcome

Yes, you're clearly struggling and your symptoms mirror mine at various stages if my life. Unfortunately we cannot diagnose so a visit to your GP is warranted.

We have a great library here. You can use search.

As an example put in search- anxiety, how I eliminated it.

Hi Star18,

Welcome and thank you for sharing what you are feeling. So many of us have been where you are now and understand how hard it is to be in that state. You will need to get some help as white knight said, as you are clearly not coping on your own and the downward spiral will likely continue without some help. I suspect the reason others find you challenging is because they have no experience or any real understanding of what you are going through. That can leave you feeling isolated and that is where the forum can be helpful so please come back to this post whenever you need to talk and we will be here to support you. However, the support you need right now is more than the forum can give you so please do reach out for help from your GP and make use of the Beyond Blue help line when you feel you are in overload.

Take care,
