Over the past two weeks I have noticed my behaviour and moods deteriorating quite dramatically. I have had an awful year with work being insane and separating from my wife and children (that is not bad in itself but stressful).
i feel constantly anxious about everything in my life which has been causing me to drink too much. This has resulted in some crazy arguments with my new girlfriend whom I have had a great relationship with and I am know that I am driving her away further increasing my anxiety and depression.
i am off to my GP tomorrow and will hopefully get some advice and possibly medication. Any advice of short term solutions until the medication kicks in to make me feel better and to stop being awful to others. This is a really low point in my life.
thanks all.

I'm new too, so hi back!
As a girlfriend of someone in a similar situation as you, as hard as it is, just try to keep the communication going with her...and try your hardest not to shut her out.
It will hopefully alleviate any feelings of rejection on her part. And help her understand your point of view?
