Hi, new here. Spent the last hour or so browsing through posts, but I don't really know what to say or where to start.
Not just on this forum, but anywhere really. So many times I'll hear a "keep active, keeping yourself busy is the key to good mental health" mantra, but I never can seem to get the ball rolling. I can switch the computer on and just stare at a blank screen for hours ... at the end, I've got no idea where the time went, I've just been flicking back and forth between screens without taking anything in. Sometimes I'll get a train of thought, I'll go to look something up, but by the time I've clicked on google the thought is gone - I'm struggling to remember what I was doing.

Hi shirker
We appreciate you posting- we know it can be hard to reach out sometimes. It's good to see that you are being proactive about your mental wellbeing- being active and Googling resources can be a great place to start. However, it sounds like maybe you are experiencing mental fog or lack of concentration. This is very normal, and getting help from a professional can be a great way to address it in the moment, as well as getting to the cause of it. Have you considered getting any professional help alongside looking up information online?
Let us know you are going if you like, no pressure at all.
