Wishing everyone all the best for the festive season.
Maybe you celebrate Christmas, maybe you hate it, maybe it means nothing to you at all and maybe you have other celebrations this time of year or none at all.
We are such a diverse group here on the forum, making up this amazing community.
If you would like to share something about this time of year, you are welcome to do so.
I also realise that around the world New Year's Eve is celebrated during many different months. It would be interesting to have a look at an international calendar, then fly to every country celebrating New Year's through the year to learn new traditions and beliefs.
If you celebrate Christmas, I wish you a very Happy Christmas and hope you find peace with in. If you don't celebrate, I still wish you inner peace and hope for all.
Kindest regards from Dools

Dear Grandy and Elizabeth and all reading,
Thank you dear precious ladies for your very kind words. My mental health issues certainly have made themselves know this year in a very severe way spasmodically.
Some of my family did join us last night and they were very gracious in not mentioning my melt down! Maybe they are used to them by now! Ha. Ha.
We did have a lovely evening together and for that I am thankful.
My husband added some laughter to the evening when he gave me a gift wrapped up in my Christmas scrap booking paper as he had not been able to find the wrapping paper. I loved him for the fact he had a gift for me.
I'm really hoping I can accept my mental health state, put more strategies in place and not have so many unpleasant moments from now on.
Why wait for New Year! I am going to work on this more now.
Unpleasantness will still happen...it is what happens next and how I react that counts.
Wishing you all a Christmas of Love Peace, Joy and Acceptance.
Season's Greetings from Dools

Dear Bev
I think you do not always remember how much you inspire others on the forum, how your gracious words touch us all. Without your messages of hope and comfort life would be so much harder for me. Knowing that you know how life gets in the way of life is amazing. My life would be so much poorer without you.
Having a meltdown can be positive. Unpleasantness will still happen...it is what happens next and how I react that counts. You have hit the nail on the head. The journey is about how we get through, not about what is happening.
How I wish I could be with you and give you the biggest hug. Please accept a virtual hug. We need all the help we can get and you are so generous with your help that it is difficult to remember you hurt as well. Giving from that spot deep inside you where there is always compassion and love for everyone is a remarkable gift. I want to offer you my compassion and love for today and every day in your life.
Mary

Dear Mary,
Thank you for your kind words. My thoughts are with you as well as I know you have your own demons to deal with and health issues.
People here in this amazing community have helped and supported me so much. I am so very thankful I found this site all those years ago.
I do hope that my sharing of my journey, the good, the not so pleasant and the down right scary helps other people realise they are not alone in what they too are experiencing.
When I am out on the street or at work, I try to smile at people and say hello. I guess that is what I try to do here as well, share a bit of a "smile" and let people know someone cares and acknowledges them.
Mary, have a wonderfully blessed Christmas.
Love and hugs from Dools

Merry Christmas to you too LQ23,
Thanks also for your kind words.
We had a very short service at Church today, I said hello to a few people before they all moved on to where they had to be next.
I received a photo from my sister and her husband this morning who are both fire fighters and were sitting in a fire truck already covered in ash, dirt and fire grime.
I have so very much to be thankful for. People not that far from us have lost everything. Who knows how those families are spending Christmas Day.
Me, I will count my blessings.
Kindest regards all from Dools
