Hi my name is Carolyn and I am a End of Life Doula and a Funeral Celebrant. As I have experienced the lost of my mother in April 2017, I experienced all the emotions associated with it, hence my new career. Watching my father in different stages of grief even to this day is a lesson for me. Beyondblue is a great way to help those in need.

Hello,

I’m deeply sorry for the loss of your mum. Losing a parent is enormously painful...

It must have been hard watching your father grieve. Even if it taught to lot, I can’t imagine it would have been easy witnessing his turmoil...

I’m glad you’ve channeled some of that loss and pain into a new career though. There’s something to be said about using some of your own pain to help others...

I agree with you about BeyondBlue being a great place for people to help and support each other.

It would be lovely to hear from you again, but only if you’re feeling up to it...no pressure of course.

Kind and caring thoughts,

Pepper

Hello Rose, thanks for posting your comment.

My sincere condolences for the loss of your dear mother and to embark on this new career after all what you have had to go through takes incredible strength.

Your father has had to grieve his way through this terrible experience, with many ups and downs to struggle with and many periods where he has felt he was alone, I only wish he knew about this site, where people of all ages could have spoken with him on a regular basis, now I hope we can help you.

Best wishes.

Geoff.
