Hi everyone
My name is Julian and as of 2 days ago I shared my story of being diagnosed with Dysthymia. I get medical help and some good drugs as well as family support as well. I felt that sharing my story was a step in the right direction and the response has been overwhelming. It would seem that a lot of people don't know about Dysthymia and it seems to fit into a lot of peoples lives.
I look forward to talking with more of you over time and I am happy for anyone to share my story and bring awareness to Dysthymia

Hi Julian,
Welcome to the forums. I'm glad you were able to share your story 2 days ago. I imagine that would have been a relieving thing to do, but also one which took a great amount of effort over the years to deal with and finally be able to share it. Congratulations and good work.
I'm 24 suffering from depression and a bucket of things that loosely get clumped into Borderline Personality Disorder. But more importantly, I draw, run and try to help others where I can. And I love to teach just for that reason alone.
It's a real pleasure to have you on these forums and I think there will be many who could benefit from your experience with Dysthymia, or even just any life experiences in general. And as many of us can attest to, mental health is something that has its ups and downs, so I hope you can feel safe in seeking help here as well if you ever need it.
It's great to have you on board Julian!
James
