Hi everyone

Hope everyone's day is going well so far.

I came across this site after multiple Doctor's appointments. I can't get any satisfaction or diagnosis for the way I'm feeling. Everyday is different and I'm so lost as to what it is that is causing me to feel so ill.

I really thought I had control of my life but I'm not so sure anymore.

I should go back to my GP but then I think they'll just think I'm a hypochondriac.

So here I am and I look forward to the positive threads.

Hey Rug,

Welcome to beyond blue! Glad you came. The first post can be the hardest so good on you for being brave and taking the first step.

Sorry that you're not feeling very supported or confident with the doctor/s you've seen. It makes the whole thing more difficult if you have to try to navigate the medical system as well as your own issues. Do you have a good GP that you trust? I am sure they won't think you're a hypochondriac so don't worry about that. You should go back if you need clarification or further help.

If you feel up to it, please let us know a bit more about yourself and your situation.

I also just want you to know you're not alone!

Best wishes 💮

Hey Rug,

Welcome to beyond blue. It is great to have you here and I hope that you find this site beneficial to your emotional well-being and overall quality of life. Like Star mentioned above, it is so brave and courageous of you to post and share your situation with strangers and this is something you should be extremely proud of!

You mention that you are satisfied with professional opinions or diagnosis you have received. Do you mind telling us what diagnosis you have received? You also mention everything is different and your feeling ill. When did you start feeling different and are you able to describe "your feelings of being ill"?

You mention that your GP will think your a hypochondriac? Your concerns seem absolutely genuine and deserve to be treated as such. If you believe your GP isn't treating your concerns seriously or in a manner which you deem is appropriate, you may wish to consider seeing another GP or being referred to a specialist (psychiatrist).

What your going through is extremely common and you will find many people on the forums have and are experiencing what your experiencing at present. Better days are ahead and I look forward to seeing you around on these forums.

All the best,

Nick.
