Hi everyone , I’m new here . So after several weeks Of thinking I have a heart problem I just had an appointment with the cardiologist who ran extensive tests advised there is no issue with my heart and I’m very healthy . Looks like anxiety is the cause - I still for some reason keep thinking there is something medically wrong with me - I’ve developed into having some nice panic attacks lately and a constant all day shortness of breath . Any advice on how to tackle this ? I had my first session with a psychologist who advised me that changing my mind was the way and controlling panic rather then seeking medication which I was happy to try as my panic attacks are waking me up from my sleep with a shortness of breath .. I just don’t feel like me anymore and any advice or anyone whose had the same experience would be appreciated ! Thanks guys , Ash

First of all, Hello 😁

Secondly, Great news.

Thirdly, it sounds like you may benefit from grounding yourself a little. Reconnecting yourself as such.

Panic attacks are common with anxiety and truth is. Just because you have been cleared doesnt mean your anxiety of it all has calmed.

Accepting the fact that you're dealing with anxiety and preparing yourself to the fact that you may have panic attacks in the future will help you steady yourself.

grounding yourself can involve things like taking that walk on the beach. Digging your toes deep in the sand and just feeling that moment. Be kind to yourself, you're only human 😁

As far as anxiety goes, what I personally find to help is doing the opposite of what my mind is telling me to do. For example - if I'm down and dont feel like getting out of bed. I'll do the opposite and jump straight out. Go for a walk or do something within my comfort range.

These are just some simple things amongst many that may work for you. Dont overthink your situation and keep your mind busy on other interests
