Hi Maltesegirl,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. We all need help at times like these and coming to these forums is a great way to get some support as we are all here for you.
I am sorry to hear that you have not been sleeping well and have been experiencing panic attacks. I was wondering if you have any self-care strategies in place that can aid in the relief of these symptoms. For example are you familiar with the 4-7-8 breathing technique? It is also known as “relaxing breath". It involves breathing in for 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds. This breathing pattern aims to reduce anxiety or help people get to sleep and so it is a great method to do when you are feeling anxious and also when you are lying in bed at night trying to sleep.
I am sorry to hear that you have not been told about your father passing away. I am just wondering if there is anyone in your family that you can talk to during this time? Maybe you can ask them when the funeral is so that you can attend.
Wishing you the best outcome possible, Jesicca
