Hello thelittlecherub1
I am so proud that you have found your way here to find some support as we are here for you. You mention a few different things that are going on for you right now and I am really sorry that you are struggling, and feeling unmotivated and that nothing makes you feel worthwhile. I am so pleased to hear that you do have an appointment with headspace, that is awesome that you have done that for you, you are worth getting help and getting support and I am sure that they will be able to give you some direction and some tips.
In the meantime you can have a look at the Kids Helpline web page or even reach out to them too, they are on 1800 55 1800, and have a web based chat service if you feel that typing is more comfortable for you, I will put the link here:
https://kidshelpline.com.au/get-help/webchat-counselling
Eating disorders are tricky and so varied and I have no experience in that space but there are some wonderful people at the Butterfly Foundation that are super across this area:
https://butterfly.org.au/
You might want to check that out too. In the meantime I am here to chat, if you would like, to sit with you through this time and to listen.
It is hard to reach out in the middle of the night when you can't sleep and I hear you in that you don't want to annoy people. There are some really great apps that you might be interested in and we can talk about those too if you like.
Take care of you littlecherub1 and I am so proud you have reached out here.
Hugs
Sarah xx

Hi thelittlecherub1,
First of all I want to say thank you for having the courage to reach out and post in our forums. It can take a lot of strength to reach out and I want to say a big welcome to you! We are here for you and very happy to talk, even if it's in the middle of the night. This is a safe space and you can always post about whatever you're going through.
I'm sorry you've been going through a rough time, it sounds like you've been feeling quite isolated and alone. I'm proud of you for organising an appointment - that can be the first step in helping yourself. In terms of things to make you feel a little bit better, it can be good to try and do something nice for yourself each day. Maybe you could think of the things that used to bring you joy before you started feeling down and unmotivated and try and do 1 small thing everyday. At first it might not bring you any joy but after a while, it might make you feel a little bit better. Little habits like this can be really good to slowly get you feeling more productive.
Always here if you want to talk and well done for reaching out! You've taken a very important first step.
Sending you lots of love
Miz

Hello littlecherub1,
Wellcome to our forums!
Sorry to hear you are battling a eating disorder that must be so difficult for you………
I understand disorders I suffered OCD…. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder…. It’s a anxiety disorder……. It was very exhausting….. I felt like I was living in an internal hell…. It was horrible and wouldn’t have wished it upon anyone!
I have now recovered from this condition 4 years going strong thanks to the help of health professionals….. it was a long journey but I’ve come out the other side and life couldn’t be better……… 😊 if I can recover then there is always HOPE that you can aswell with the correct help…..
Before my therapy I had many fears but I learned to challenge these fears and challenge my limiting beliefs…. They no longer have a hold over me….. you too can learn to challenge yours…
im sorry you can’t sleep, this also happened to me when I had severe anxiety….. what helped me? Hugging those close to me….. guided meditation……. Talking to the ones I loved and loved me..
I know a disorder can make us feel confused and numb…..hang in there stay close to the ones you love…. Talk….. with the correct help you can learn to overcome your disorder..
Thats great you have a appointment with headspace…. Please let us know how you go 😊
here to chat to you
